七十年代，叮噹還很小，不懂得欣賞西方音樂。不過我輩成長於殖民地的香江，受着英倫文化影響，或多或少總會接觸到點點西方流行的音樂文化。一些著名音樂組合如ABBA、Bee Gees 等等的音樂短片更經常在電視台播放，尤以下午時段最多。短短幾分鐘的音樂短片一般安排在節目與節目之間的空檔時段插播，目的明顯不過就是電視台利用這些短片來填塞空隙時間，亦即是香江人形容的「攝時間」。
那些年，不諳英語的叮噹是一名孩童，那會知道歌星在唱什麼內容？無奈為了等候觀看自己喜歡的兒童節目或卡通片，於是被動地、不停地和重覆地收看這些音樂短片。如是者，耳濡目染下，電視機前的叮噹對這些西方流行音樂不再陌生，其中Bee Gees主音歌手巴里·吉布（Barry Gibb）的高音假聲唱腔一直讓叮噹留下非常深刻的印象。
一首「你的愛有多深（How Deep Is Your Love）」更是Bee Gees膾炙人口的金曲，是經典中的經典。時至今天，Bee Gees多首金曲依然是叮噹兒時的歲月回憶，亦是千千萬萬樂迷的美好時光。
雖然歌曲創作年代久遠，但它又是這麽的歷久常新。名曲「你的愛有多深」有一句歌詞－因為我們生活在一個充滿愚人的世界，讓我們崩潰而他們本該讓我們自由自在（Cause we're living in a world of fools, breaking us down when
